Location is not updating
Open iOS Settings → Veni Vidi Wiki → Location and choose “While Using the App.” A clear GPS fix is required to verify a discovery.
The wrong county is selected
Enable Precise Location, then use Retry Current Region or reopen Leaderboards. A saved fallback is labeled “Last Verified” until a fresh county can be confirmed; it is never presented as your live location.
My rank is not in the visible list
The public list shows at most the Top 100 explorers. Your personal standing above it is calculated across every explorer on that exact county, state, or country board—even when you are outside the visible list.
A nearby place is missing
The map displays English Wikipedia™ articles with primary coordinates within 10 km, up to the discovery feed limit. Adding or correcting coordinates on Wikipedia can improve future results.
Delete an account
In the app, open Profile → Privacy & Data → Delete Account. This removes account data and public leaderboard entries.
A total says “Catalog syncing”
The app only displays percentages when a complete, verified regional catalog count is available. It will never substitute the nearby map sample for a county, state, or country total.
